POSITION DESCRIPTION
TITLE: COOPERATIVE EDUCATION COORDINATOR - FULL-TIME
2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR
GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP CAMPUS
DEADLINE: This position will be filled in no less than ten (10) days after the date of this posting.
QUALIFICATIONS:
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Cooperative Education Coordinator/Hazardous Occupations (NJ Certification #3464) or
otherwise acceptable NJ certification or willingness to pursue this certification and endorsement.
- Hold a standard instructional certificate with a Career and Technical Education (CTE) endorsement in any field.
- Two years of successful teaching experience under the standard CTE teaching certificate.
- Have at least one-thousand hours of documented employment experience in a hazardous occupation, as approved by the Chief School Administrator (CSA), in accordance with N.J.S.A. 34:2-21, (not required for teachers holding a standard CTE certification in a hazardous occupation), preferred.
- Successfully undergo a criminal history check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.
- Meets the health qualifications required of all personnel.
- Meets NJ residency requirements or willingness to relocate to NJ within 365 days of employment.
- Must follow the guidelines of the Camden County Technical Schools’ Nepotism Policy, File Code: 0142.1.
Interviews are at the discretion of the superintendent and/or designee and based on qualifications for the position.

POSITION GOALS: To act as liaison for students between the school and the cooperating employer’s training station.
REPORTS TO: Supervisor assigned per the CCTS’ Organizational Chart
PERFORMANCE
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Instruction:
1. Coordinate the assignment of students to part-time cooperative and other work-based training
stations as assigned (on both campuses, as needed).
- Assist students in locating and obtaining employment at training stations.
- Screen prospective cooperative education students using district-established criteria.
- Assign students only to approved work-based learning training stations as assigned.
- Counsel students to resolve conflicts arising at training stations.
- Provide related cooperative education instruction as assigned.
- Visit each assigned student at the workplace training station on a semi-monthly basis.
Curriculum:
1. Assist in the formation and functioning of appropriate advisory councils for further promotion of
cooperative education assignments.
- Assume responsibility for the development, approval, and supervision of training stations as assigned.
- Develop training schedules and list of tasks to be performed by the workbased learning student with employers as assigned.
Evaluation:
1. Evaluate student progress, maintain liaison with career program instructors as applicable, and develop
student portfolios as needed.
- Submit student records relating to training station assignment, performance, earnings and supervision to cooperative education liaison on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Monitor training stations to verify that federal and state labor regulations, worker compensation laws, school policies and laws governing employment of student learners are being observed.
Miscellaneous:
1. Provide information for regular and occasional fiscal, statistical, and programmatic reports as requested.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
